Ashland Rotary raised funds at the Encores event for the Splashpad Project.
Ashland Rotary sponsored Encores in the Summer of 2024 featuring the Chequamegon Jazz Collaborative and Micheal Perry and the Long Beds.
Rotary clubs participate in a broad range of humanitarian, intercultural, and educational projects that provide health care, clean water, training, and youth development.
The Ashland Rotary Club collaborates with other Rotary clubs worldwide through the Rotary Foundation to bring sustainable improvements to communities in need. These projects advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through health improvement, education support, and poverty alleviation.
In 2018 and 2019, our club and the Chequamegon Bay community contributed $4,000, which leveraged $12,000 of Rotary International support for a project to improve access to clean water and sanitation in twelve schools in the state of Santa Barbara, Honduras.
Our club collaborated with clubs in northern Minnesota and Creston, British Columbia to provide resources to the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara, Honduras on a project of more than $100,000. A key goal is to assure that kids can stay in school, especially to assure that girls persist in school so that they can have opportunities to pursue a variety of professions.
